Selin's Grove Brewing Co.

Selin’s Grove Brewing Co. opened in
1996 and was fortunate to call home a
beautiful Federal style stone governor’s
mansion .
This historic building was built in 1816
by Pennsylvania’s third and only three
term governor,
Simon Snyder, for whom
our county was named.
 The building remains remarkably intact
and is on the National Historic Register.
The Selin’s Grove Brewing Co. is
housed on the ground floor in the
governor’s kitchen, complete with two
walk-in fireplaces.
In the late nineteenth century the
building was home to MatildaPierce
Alleman who wrote a famous book about
her experience as a girl during the civil
war,
Gettysburg; What a girl saw and
heard of the battle
.

Our logo  was designed when we
discovered an historical account of a
distillery & brewery in Selinsgrove in the
1830s that used stray dogs to run in a
wheel thus powering the  pumps.

Our favorite past time…
the beautiful countryside & the river!
Bring your kayak and bicycle.
There are several resident Bald Eagle in
Selinsgrove and plenty of other critters
to discover on our easy going river with
easy access from a great new Selinsgrove
public landing!
Cyclist will love the great back roads
either through the rural Amish
countryside or an easy family friendly
mostly flat ride to the end of the Isle of
Que which is a beautiful & low traffic
five mile loop from the pub and back
!
